I LOVE THESE FOLKS. We became friends around their wedding years ago and whenever we all see each other it is like a fun reunion of people who never get to see each other but want to see each other and we’re always like, “Why don’t we see each other more!?” and the answer is life, my friends. But now we’re actively trying to see each other more and in between Liz and I maintain a silly and slightly ridiculous text thread that I cherish. Anyway, they’re the best. Funny, kind, smaaaart. Both are way smarter than me but are friends with me anyway and I love that. Now they have two kids, both of whom are also way smarter than me. NASA is in the future of someone, but I’m not sure which one. Or maybe it could be all 4. The oldest is smart and measured and more on the serious yet sweet side. The youngest is smart with a hint of “could be a racecar driver or someone who participates in illegal base jumping in a national park.” He’s got a bit of a chaotic edge, which might be his age, or it might just be him. He spent most of the shoot at the lake lying on his back and inching his shoes closer and closer to the water with a mischievous glint in his eyes. I think he would’ve slide himself into that lake entirely, befriended all the fish, turned into maybe a fish or a fish monster, and then we’d never see him again. But we prevented that and he just went home with his family instead. Also, Sazzy makes an appearance as the beautiful little lady that she is (she is the cat).
