Videri Chocolate Factory

I don’t often do commercial work, but when I do, I prefer it to involve chocolate.

I shoot a lot of things for the Downtown Raleigh Alliance of a varying nature, and on this particular day one of the assignments was to visit Videri Chocolate Factory (across from the Pit) and photograph it. And they gave me samples. And it was so, so delicious. I will be visiting there again soon and probably sneaking into a pile of chocolate in the back while they’re not looking and remain there for years, subsisting only on chocolate (preferably the sea salt kind).

Quick four pictures from yesterday’s Ladies’ Luncheon that I sponsored for the Downtown Raleigh Alliance alongside BB&T, North State Bank, SynergySpa, WRAL, and others! The focus this year was women in technology, with Kelcey Carlson moderating. The panelists included Brooks Bell (CEO of Brooks Bell), Kristy Timberlake (owner of Opus 1), and Niki Kohari (project manager for Rally Software and entrepreneur for AgileZen).

The Raleigh Downtown Farmers Market has returned! I photographed Opening Day for the Downtown Raleigh Alliance again this year and was loving the new layout and new vendors. :) I also love seeing the old vendors… most of whom I know at this point. They’re awesome people and sell awesome products. Aside from produce, you can find fish, peanut butter, honey, eggs, spices, and all sorts of other goodies… all produced within 90 miles of downtown Raleigh. :) Visit on Wednesdays from 10am-2pm in City Plaza on Fayetteville St.
