so i realized yesterday that in blogging about tamyra and darius i kind of forgot about doing my project 365…so, um, i’m just kind of going to overlook that and continue with day 43 today. maybe i’ll make it up someday. :)

last weekend was a great start to spring and a perfect day for an engagement portrait session!
i first met tamyra and darius last year as they were searching for their wedding photographer and i am so happy that they chose me because they are just awesome. this couple is so so fun, vibrant, and hilarious. they had me laughing the whole time. we hit it off at the consult and i was excited to get to hang out with them during this shoot. needless to say, they’re absolutely adorable and totally in love. i can’t wait to photograph their wedding!
we shot at peace college in raleigh where tamyra goes to school. it was beautiful…and i gotta hand it to the campus for having the greenest grass ever.

lots of people have found my website lately through googling “white flowering tree in raleigh, nc.” well, ladies and gentlemen, the tree whose identification you’re seeking is the white cherry tree. my street is covered with them. sometimes i think it looks like it snowed, other times it just reminds me of popcorn…depending on how recently i’ve eaten. today was gorgeous, so i took a walk along and took a bunch of photos. think i’ll make a bunch of prints, mat them, and make a series out of these guys to hang in the office. it just screams “happy.”
