Ahhh, it’s been 6 years since I last shot a wedding, so it was a fabulous walk down memory lane to photograph people in wedding outfits again, freshly post-courthouse, with a dog and bouquet in tow. :) I had the BEST time with Adair and Andrew, who are two Durham-loving peas in a pod. They were married at the county courthouse that morning, and we met in the evening to photograph them walking around the city where they met and now call home. Nola, their sweet, and calm doggo, joined us. She was accompanied and handled by Katie, a beloved mutual friend of both mine and Adair, when she wasn’t looking extremely adorable while posing for little treats in the photos. We had a lot of fun talking snacks, scary movies, and their upcoming family wedding in Florida. They handled my incessant getting-to-know-you questions and my posing of them in bright, hot sunlight like champs, and I’m so glad that I got to meet them and document the first few hours of their newlywed life together. A huge congratulations to Adair and Andrew!

it’s been a busy 1.5 weeks and it will continue for several more… but all good exciting! consulting this afternoon, editing, etc. i have to go get my car inspected sometime this week which, although not expensive, is just a general pain. i then i have to re-register it w/ the state of north carolina, blah blah blah. we are finally approved to shoot at American Tobacco in durham this friday for our trash the dress session! i can’t wait to have some of those up here and in the portfolio. my friend steve from florida is also coming up on friday to hang out w/ us over the weekend here in raleigh. steve is a friend of mine from college (point park university in pittsburgh) who recently moved from  pittsburgh to the orlando area. we’re excited to show him around raleigh this weekend. :)

here’s some more photographs from the jennifer and travis shoot!

camping was awesome! more to come on that later. however, being in the woods for 2.5 days can get really old really fast as you get continually rained on, swat hornets away from your fire-burnt food, and run up an incredible sleep debt due to all the shuffling noises outside your small overheated tent at night. we had a great time, but boy… i’m glad to be back in the world of showers, internet access, and microwaves. i’ll be posting pictures from our journey later this week.

here’s some photos from my session with travis and jennifer – a really adorable couple who were great to work with. they let me put them in all sorts of perilous jungle-gym situations while being gawked at by a bunch of 5-10 year olds manning the playground. you guys are awesome! :)
