Before her wedding, Kathryn had 1.) a nightmare that we didn’t show up and 2.) a nightmare that I wrote something really terrible about her on our blog. We successfully avoided nightmare #1 – we did, indeed, show up to photograph her wedding. Now it’s time for nightmare #2! ::drumroll please::

Kathryn is…  Ummmm. Kathryn’s wedding was… ahhh….

Nope. I’ve got nothing. Nothing terrible to say at all. :( Nightmare #2 has been debunked. ;) It’s safe to continuing reading now, Kat… all your fears have been dispelled!

We met a long time ago. Kathryn and I went to school together (middle and high school) and got in trouble a lot in class. I remember getting in trouble in some sort of high school class where she sat in front of me. She remembers getting in trouble in 8th grade art class, specifically, from copying my paper. We talked a lot and teachers didn’t like us so much for that. :) Kathryn graduated a year ahead of me and I bid adieu at the time to my lovely friend.

We have been reunited over her wedding and it was an honor to join her and her fantastic husband Mike at their wedding. Brittany, her maid of honor was also a friend of mine from middle/high school (and we went to go see our first concert together which was Ringo Starr… sorry if I just publicly embarrassed you, Brittany). Geoff and I loved meeting and getting to know Mike, who is a fantastic fit for Kathryn, and an all-around general super nice and personable human being. We with them nothing but the best of luck and happiness in their lives and with their two pups!

Brandrew Have A Baby

Pennsylvania’s very own Brandrew is back on the blog! Well, Ohio’s very own I guess. Brandrew (Brandy and Andrew, respectively, although I’ve given up trying to call either one of them by their correct names because for whatever reason my brain has decided to run the two permanently together) used to live in Pennsylvania, but have since moved to Ohio for Andrew’s job. During the session at Andrew’s parents’ house in Pennsylvania, we had a conversation that went like this (Brandy and I went to high school together):

Me: Brandy, I miss youuuu!
Brandy: I knowww, I miss you too! I wish you still lived here.
Me: But Brandy, you don’t even live here.
Brandy: … (really sad face)… I know. :(

:) I don’t normally do maternity sessions, but Geoff and I shot Brandrew’s engagement and their wedding, and instead of a traditional maternity shoot, they really just wanted pictures of the two of them and their pup Cody while Brandy just happened to be pregnant. Cody likes to growl at anyone who comes near Brandy now, but I quickly won him over by talking to him about squirrels and chipmunks, and then we were best friends. Brandy and Andrew are having a baby girl, named Eliza, in March. I’ll then have to think of another name combination. Maybe Brandriza. Or Ebrandrew. I’ll think about it.

The Fuller Kittens.

This is probably the cutest shoot I’ve ever done (no offense, past clients, but you just can’t compare to kittens, okay?). At one point I found myself in a bathroom upstairs with the parents of our previous wedding client Katie, two kittens, and a box turtle named Henrietta. That’s one of those points in your life where you ask yourself, “How did I get here?” It was awesome.

These are the Fuller kittens… furry children of Sue and Fred for Sue’s birthday and picked out by Katie, who is known in her family for picking out the best cats. They are a little over 11 weeks old. Arthur is orange and white. Lily is tortoise shell and white. They’re a brother and sister team of fuzzy goodness and insanity. Their current favorite toy is a stuffed buzzard and an actual rabbit’s ear which we all think is pretty gross but the kittens think it’s fantastic. They wrestle together and play together and sleep together and do everything together and make you want to go out and get kittens RIGHT NOW IMMEDIATELY.
