Happy New Year to old clients and new! We are back from my holiday in Pittsburgh and ready for 2011. :) While we were away on vacation, we were very happy to learn that two of our weddings were published in three online wedding blogs!

Unfortunately, their blog engine distorted all the pictures and makes them look pretty horrendous, but if you click “See more imagines in the gallery” under the last picture on Wedding Nouveau, you can see what the pictures are actually supposed to look like. :)

I am also excited to announce that we will be published in print a few times this year! More details about that coming soon. :) Now it’s back to work editing and prepping for all of our great 2011 weddings. Congratulations to all of the happy couples in 2010 and those newly engaged and ready for 2011!

we have had an amazing year! i feel so privileged to have met and worked with all the amazing brides and grooms this year. all of you are in our hearts at the holidays and we thank you for allowing us to live an amazing life. i truly love what i do and couldn’t do it without the clients and other awesome wedding vendors in the area. thank you all! here’s to 2011 and all that lay ahead.

i will be traveling home to pittsburgh tomorrow to be with my super great family. i will be continuing to answer emails over the holidays (hopefully in a timely fashion… but this all depends on how much eggnog i consume), but i will not be available to place orders. thank you for your patience at this time and i’ll you all in 2011! have a great holiday season and happy new year!

raleigh event photographer: downtown raleigh alliance // shop downtown campaign

i’ve happily shot for the downtown raleigh alliance a lot this year and was very excited to document the first day of their shop downtown campaign for them (second one is on the 11th! make sure to check it out). the DRA, partnering with local businesses, brought shoppers downtown to explore the world of free parking, major discounts at the shops and boutiques downtown, christmas carolers, and free tastings from a bunch of the tasty local restaurants. i was excited to get to go inside a bunch of my favorite stores and photograph them, while geoff was happy to come along and pick up the free food. ;) here are some faves of the day (including one i got of mayor meeker shopping in stitch – BONUS POINTS!):
