i had such a great time with these two. :) they’re so adorable together and had an absolutely fabulous wedding at NC state in the dorothy and roy park alumni center. they met at NC state and graduated from there – so what better place to have your wedding? it was very fitting and the alumni center is gorgeous. not only is it beautiful inside where their reception was, but it was beautiful outside for their ceremony as well. the grounds are great, the reception area is incredibly classy, and they have a nice, bright bridal suite as well! what’s not to love?

the inside, where the reception was held, is so beautiful and bright! and yep – they had a pretty big bridal party! :)

have you ever seen a flower girl this adorable? so cute. also – there were a ton of guests at trinity’s wedding with cameras, but i loved this one the best! it belonged to one of the bridesmaids and is a Diana film camera. and i would totally shoot weddings with only that just for the style points.

i’m in love with this ring shot, and i didn’t even go to NC state. :) but i thought it was so fitting for two who met there, graduated, and married.

gotta love the aerial shot of the electric slide. this wedding had one of the most active reception participants i’ve ever seen. nearly everyone was dancing the entire time. it was great!

droid goes downtown.

blog is starting to be inundated with mass weddings, so i figured i’d take a little break editing the current one and post some pics from last night. these were taken with my little droid (like a best friend in your pocket) and w/ the app “fxcamera” that allows you to do some sweet effects to your pictures in your phone.

emily and michael were married on may 23rd at the millenium hotel in durham. their original plans were to be married in duke gardens and have their reception at the millenium, but the forecast called for rain all day. this added some last minute changes the morning of as the wedding party were trying to decide where to have to the wedding, but it all worked out beautifully and they were indeed married in the hotel. added tidbit of interestingness? emily and her family and friends are from canada, so everyone was in town for the wedding! they were a beautiful couple and i had a great time working with them.

we did some of their formals at duke gardens anyway because, of course, it stopped raining around the time that the ceremony should’ve been. so we take some formals and just as we’re sitting down to do some of these shots, it starts raining. the weather in north carolina is so unpredictable! but we all hid under a big tree and resumed the process after a few minutes. the bride and groom were so flexible and everything worked out great!
